All about the world of wind energy
Wind power plays a crucial role and is a sector with extremely high potential, particularly regarding offshore installations along the coasts. However, in Italy, it is still hindered by regulatory and authorization delays. The latest update to the National Energy and Climate Plan (PNEC) sets a target of 2.1 gigawatts of installed capacity by 2030—an insufficiently ambitious goal compared to other EU countries.
Wind energy takes center stage at KEY with the dedicated exhibition area WEM-Wind Expo for Med, showcasing the sector in all its forms: onshore, offshore, mini-wind, and renewable energy community projects powered by wind energy.
