KEYCON 2027

The conference provides an international forum for researchers, academics, professionals, and students to present and discuss the latest advances in the field.

Participants may submit an extended abstract of 5000 characters and a Graphical Abstract describing their research contributions. Accepted contributions will be included in the scientific program of the conference for either an oral or a poster presentation depending on their participation options.

Authors who present their work at the conference and wish to further develop their contribution may be invited to submit a full paper to one of the conference partner journals, including:

• Energy
• Transformative Energy
• Other selected partner journals

Invited manuscripts will undergo the standard peer-review process of the respective journals. Acceptance for journal publication is therefore subject to the journals' usual editorial and review procedures.

Additional information regarding publication opportunities and submission procedures will be provided after the conference.

You have two options for your participation:

• Full Participant: Researchers registering as Full Participants are entitled to present their work through an oral presentation, subject to acceptance of their submitted extended abstract.
• PhD Student: PhD students may benefit from a reduced registration fee. Submitted extended abstracts from PhD students will undergo scientific review by the Conference Scientific Committee. Based on the quality, relevance, and suitability of the contribution, the Committee will determine whether the work will be included in the program as:

  - An oral presentation, or

  - A poster presentation

This policy aims to encourage the participation of early-career researchers while maintaining the scientific quality of the conference program.

The registration to KEYCON27 automatically gives you access to the whole KEY Expo. Furthermore, it also covers coffee-breaks and networking events specifically organised for KEYCON27.

Participants who complete their registration before the Early-Bird Registration Deadline benefit from reduced registration fees. Registration received after such date will be accepted subject to the payment of the Full Registration fee as detailed below.

• Abstract acceptance: November 30, 2026
• Early-Bird Registration Deadline: December 10, 2026
• Standard Registration Deadline: February 10, 2027
• Conference: March 10-11, 2027

The conference will take place the 10-11^th of March 2027.

The two-day program will include keynote lectures, oral sessions, poster sessions, and networking opportunities for researchers and professionals from academia and industry.

The conference will be held within KEY - The Energy Transition Expo.
