Maria Siclari is the Director General of ISPRA, the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research. She graduated in Economics from the University of Messina and has held key leadership roles, including Director General of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), Head of the Geological Survey of Italy at ISPRA, and Deputy Head of the Civil Protection Department.
Since April 2023, she has also served as Coordinator of the Expert Committee of the National Inspectorate for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ISIN), appointed by the Council of Ministers on the proposal of the Minister of Environment and Energy Security.
With extensive experience in public administration and research institutions, she is recognized for her strong leadership and multidisciplinary expertise in managing complex scientific and administrative structures.
