Lennart van Walsum has over 15 years of experience in the international solar PV and storage sectors, with expertise spanning the entire value chain - from rooftop and distributed generation to large-scale utility solar projects. Trained as an electrical engineer, he has built a distinguished career at the intersection of technology, business development, and international market expansion, establishing a strong global network across the renewable energy industry.

Lennart began his solar career in 2009 as CEO of Krannich Solar Benelux, where he led the company's growth in the residential and C&I markets. He later expanded his focus to utility-scale solar through international management roles at SMA, working both in Germany and the United States. Following his move to London, he joined LONGi, one of the world's leading solar technology companies.

Since 2025 Lennart joined the Global Solar Council (GSC), where he contributes to the strategic development of the world's largest organisation representing solar+storage, and works with industry leaders, policymakers, and international partners to advance the policies, partnerships, and market conditions needed to accelerate the global energy transition.
