Giorgio Graditi

Director General of Area Science Park, Italy’s national public research organization supervised by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), Giorgio Graditi is a leading national and international expert in research and technological development in the fields of energy and sustainability.

He serves as President of MEDENER, the association of Mediterranean national agencies for energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, and of SIET S.p.A. (Società Informazioni Esperienze Termoidrauliche), a company operating in the nuclear sector. He is a member of the Boards of Directors of the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio and of the NEST-Network 4 Energy Sustainable Transition Foundation, and serves on the Scientific Council of the Rome Technopole Foundation. He also coordinates the Scientific Council of the National Energy Technology Cluster and he is a member of the Scientific Council of the Cluster MARE TC FVG operating in the maritime, aerospace and renewable energy sectors.

Formerly Director General of ENEA and Director of ENEA’s Department for Energy Technologies and Renewable Sources, he has managed numerous national and European R&D&I projects and programmes, as well as framework agreements and collaborative initiatives with ministries and key stakeholders.
He is the author of patents, scientific books and more than 300 scientific publications (Scopus H-index: 43).
