Italy in the European and international agrivoltaic landscape

Neri 2 Room South Hall

The Italian agrivoltaic landscape. First session

Despite numerous difficulties, Italy is considered a lighthouse country in Europe and worldwide for the implementation of agrivoltaics. This is mainly due to the Next Generation EU funding measure, which has given impetus to the development of an agrivoltaic market in our country.
This session aims to provide an overview of the agrivoltaic landscape at the national level, to highlight what can be learned from Italy and what urgent issues need to be addressed to enable agrivoltaics to play a lasting role in the energy transition process.
What is the status of agrivoltaics in Italy?
This session will be a testimony to the barriers, challenges, and best practices that the Italian experience can offer.

The European and international agrivoltaic landscape. Second session

This session aims to provide an overview of the agrivoltaic landscape at the European and international levels. The main associations or networks dealing with agrivoltaics will be invited to present the national situation and the main issues they are facing. The goal is to identify similarities and main differences in agrivoltaics, to learn from others' experiences and develop appropriate local approaches. Concrete experiences will also be shared, with the aim of showing the definitions and many forms that agrivoltaics can take.
