Event
E-fuels are emerging as strategic energy carriers for decarbonizing the heavy transport sector, with applications extending to maritime and aviation. The conference explores the development prospects of technological processes underlying the production of these synthetic fuels, analyzing the main market drivers and identifying the most involved sectors. Particular attention is paid to infrastructural challenges, with the direct involvement of key ecosystems such as ports and airports. Starting from penetration scenarios for 2030 and 2050, the first ongoing pilot and industrial initiatives are presented and discussed, focusing on European experiences and reflecting on potential development prospects in Italy.
