Event
Conference born from the growing need to rethink the relationship between energy transition, landscape and democratic participation. Wind energy represents an essential component of the renewable mix needed to address the climate crisis, but its development today faces resistance, conflicts and critical issues related to territorial integration and community involvement.
Many projects are hindered not only for technical or bureaucratic reasons, but due to the lack of real dialogue with the territories. The visual and perceptual impact of turbines, the transformation of cultural landscapes, the scarcity of shared benefits at local level and the weakness of participatory processes are elements that undermine the social acceptability of wind power.
This conference aims to be a space for interdisciplinary dialogue to strengthen the social acceptability of wind power, bringing together urban planners, administrators, citizens, companies, landscape experts, designers and activists, with the goal of constructively addressing the challenges and opportunities related to the future of wind power in the territories.
