Energy infrastructure for growth: perspectives, enabling technologies, critical issues

In the context of KEY – The Energy Transition Expo 2026 in Rimini, the conference, organized by ANIE and GENERAZIONE DISTRIBUITA - ANIMA, brings together the supply chain of manufacturers of equipment and systems for electricity transmission and distribution and energy continuity with the main stakeholders of the electrical system: network operators, large customers, institutions and regulatory authorities, academic research. The rapid growth of renewables and the spread of energy-intensive loads (electric mobility, data centers, etc.) require increasingly resilient, digitalized and flexible networks, capable of ensuring security, quality of service and competitiveness for businesses and territories.
The conference aims to explore how network technologies are evolving (transformers, switchboards, substations, cables, generators and emergency generation systems, etc.), what the investment priorities are and what signals the regulatory and policy framework should provide to the industrial supply chain, to identify some shared priorities for the development of network infrastructures and related technologies supporting the energy transition.
