Electronics and Energy: where value is created today. Comparison along the supply chain

Energy Distribution Arena, pav. A5

The Energy sector is a set of vertical niches, not a single market, but with very different requirements, business models, and levels of complexity. Many of these niches represent concrete opportunities for those who develop electronic systems and intelligent solutions.

This roundtable is created to go beyond the word "Energy" and understand where concrete opportunities exist today for those who design and produce electronics.
Today, growth is mainly concentrated in areas such as:
• intelligent energy measurement and monitoring
• production systems for photovoltaic and hydrogen
• integration between power electronics, software, sensors, and network.
• smart metering and advanced data management
• energy storage

In all these cases, electronics is an enabling factor. In a scenario marked by stringent technical and regulatory requirements, strong integration between hardware, software and network systems, and pressure on costs and lead times, the electronics supply chain is called to make strategic choices.
