Event
The growth of renewable energy sources in Italy continues steadily. Numerous projects are being proposed and implemented; however, bureaucratic delays and local opposition—often fueled by misinformation and misleading narratives—still represent significant obstacles.
Italy faces clear and attainable objectives, with the potential to deliver both direct and indirect benefits to its territories. Yet, key questions remain: What barriers must still be overcome in light of the latest regulatory framework? How can local challenges be addressed? What role and value do communities hold in this process?
The presentation of the new Checkmate to Renewables Report will once again provide an important occasion to assess the state of renewable energy development in Italy. It will also serve as a platform for dialogue with stakeholders on the current limitations and obstacles that continue to affect project implementation, with a focus on proposals and solutions designed to accelerate the energy transition.
