Event
The EPBD (Energy Performance of Buildings Directive) represents one of the key tools of the European strategy for decarbonizing the building sector, which is responsible for a significant share of climate-altering emissions. The goal is ambitious: to gradually transform the European building stock into a zero-emission building stock, through energy efficiency measures, promotion of renewable sources, and deep renovations.
The conference aims to present some interpretative keys for the concrete application of the directive in the context of the peculiarities of the Italian building heritage, starting from the pervasive presence of historical buildings, which, although exempt from the obligations of the directive, cannot be ignored for an ecological transition of the building sector, up to interventions on existing buildings in peripheral areas (Apennine areas, inner areas, etc.).
