ENEA observatory for new energy strategies and economic-social valorization models: Energy Communities

Diotallevi 1 Room South Hall

Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) represent an innovative model for a fair and participatory energy transition, capable of integrating environmental sustainability and social value. It's not just about producing and sharing energy from renewable sources, but about promoting a new paradigm that puts people, territories, and collaboration between citizens, businesses, and local authorities at the center.
The event offers a moment of discussion on the state of development of RECs in Italy, analyzing opportunities, critical issues, and perspectives. Through consolidated experiences and good practices that have emerged in the last two years, the operational and organizational challenges related to community management and citizen engagement models will be explored in depth.
Thanks to the work of the ENEA Observatory and its thematic tables, a useful reference framework will be outlined to guide the growth of RECs, with a look at their possible role as territorial hubs for value-added services. A focus on a laboratory experience with students from a technical institute is also planned.
