Event
The global competition for clean technologies is redefining the industrial policies of the United States, China, and Europe. In this context, Italy faces specific challenges: an energy-intensive industrial structure, strong exposure to non-EU value chains, and a still limited capacity to attract productive investments in the transition technologies sector, the so-called clean tech.
The event will discuss the role of European industrial policy – from the Net Zero Industry Act to new demand support tools – and how Italian companies can position themselves in rapidly evolving global supply chains. A dialogue between representatives of the European Commission, the Italian Government, and the private sector will explore investment priorities, conditions for scaling up production, demand stimulation tools (PPAs, procurement, standards), and the geopolitical dynamics of value chains.
